Welcome to the home of Folk Alliance International
Since 1989, Folk Alliance has served as the headquarters for Folk
Music and Dance. With over 2000 members worldwide and an annual conference
that is one of the five largest music conferences in North America, Folk
Alliance continues to grow and mature while providing a unique range of
member services to our community.
Over the years, our community has grown to include record companies, publishers,
presenters, agents, managers, music support services, manufacturers and
artists that work in the folk world. Folk Alliance has six regional affiliates
that provide the grass roots efforts in their respective markets.

2009 International Folk Alliance Conference
The 2009 International Folk Alliance Conference will be held February 18-22, 2009
at the Marriott Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.
Important Conference Deadlines and Dates:
July 1st, 2008
• Showcase entry begins via Sonicbids or direct mail entry using FA Showcase Entry Form
• Earlybird registration begins via online registration or direct mail registration using FA Registration Form
• Hotel booking open for Marriott non-music floors (see hotel info below)
• Hotel booking open for Crowne Plaza Hotel (see hotel info below)
• Private Showcase requests open (use private showcase contract) sponsorship, advertising and marketing sales open
November 15th, 2008
• Earlybird registration deadine (price increases after this date)
November 20th, 2008
•Showcase entry deadline
December 12th, 2008
• Deadline to cancel registration with full refund (minus $50 handling fee)
January 15th, 2009
• Early registration deadline (last price discount)
